Associate Degrees in Nursing (ASN or ADN)

Your Doorway to Becoming an LPN, RN, or Certified Pediatric Nurse
If you'd like to become a pediatric registered nurse (RN), an associate degree in nurse (ADN or ASN) is a great way to get your feet wet. An ADN program is typically shorter than a Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) program, but allows more job flexibiliy and earning potential than a nursing diploma program. While most pediatric nursing hopefuls go on to earn their BSN degrees, earning your ADN degree first will allow you to enter the work force earlier, earning a paycheck while you continue your education. Many hospitals and doctor's offices will even offer tuition reimbursement or assistance. Once you've earned your licensure and are a bonafide RN, you can take the certified pediatric nursing exam, or even continue your education and become a pediatric nurse practitioner. Either way, it can all begin with your ADN. Browse these top nursing schools offering associate degrees to get started:
